On February 24, 1971, approximately 400 Khmer Rouge and Khmer Viet Cong armed forces equipped with weapons, including two DCA guns set up shelters in Prek Sleng village at W:095-461 and W:093-460, sangkat Kpob, Sa Ang district of Kandal province. They started their operation by appointing a certain village in Sa Ang district as a chief of committee for collecting rice from the local people in order to supply their forces. They also chose some beautiful girls and trained them to be singers for cheering on their troops after they got victories, and also to mark the commemoration of their front unit.
កាលពីថ្ងៃទី២៤ ខែកុម្ភះ ឆ្នាំ១៩៧១ ខ្មែរក្រហម និងខ្មែរយៀកកុង ចំនួនប្រហែល៤០០នាក់ ប្រដាប់ដោយអាវុធគ្រប់ដៃ និងកាំភ្លើង សេដេអា ចំនួន២ដើម។ តាំងជម្រកនៅភូមិព្រែកស្លែង ត្រង់ចំណុច ឌុបដឺវ៉េ ០៩៥-៤៦១ និងឌុបដឺវ៉េ ០៩៣-៤៦០ ក្នុងសង្កាត់ខ្ពប ស្រុកស្អាង ខេត្ដកណ្ដាល។ ពួកនេះបានធ្វើសកម្មភាពក្នុងស្រុកស្អាង ដោយជ្រើសរើសអ្នកស្រុកឱ្យធ្វើប្រធានគណកម្មាធិការរៃអង្គាសអង្ករអ្នក ស្រុក ដើម្បីផ្ដល់ឱ្យពួកវា និងវាបានជ្រើសរើសក្រមុំស្អាតៗឱ្យហាត់ នាំច្រៀង ដើម្បីកំសាន្ដពេលវាវាយប្រហារបានជ័យជំនះម្ដងៗ និងដើម្បីរំឮកក្រុមរណសិរ្សរបស់ពួកវាទៀតផង។
