On the night of May 1, 1971, about 500 Khmer Viet Cong left Ampeou Prey village VT:908-616 for Boeng Thom village VT:960-656. They were under the command of Sum Sem, and attempted to attack Takmao and Sa Ang in the future.
កាលពីយប់ថ្ងៃទី១ ខែឧសភា ឆ្នាំ១៩៧១ មាន កាវ៉េសេ ប្រមាណ ៥០០នាក់ ចេញដំណើរពីភូមិអំពៅព្រៃ វ៉េតេៈ៩០៨-៦១៦ ឆ្ពោះទៅបឹងធំ វ៉េតេៈ ៩៦០-៦៥៦ ដោយមានមេដឹកនាំម្នាក់ឈ្មោះ ស៊ុំ សែម។ ពួកវាមានបំណងចូលវាយទីក្រុងតាខ្មៅ និងស្អាង នៅពេល ឆាប់ៗខាងមុខនេះ។ ហើយនៅថ្ងៃដដែលមានខ្មាំង៦០០នាក់បាន រាយគ្នាក្នុងសង្កាត់កណ្ដោក ត្រង់ម្ដុំវ៉េតេៈ៩៥០-៦១៨ និងវ៉េតេៈ៩៥០-៥៩៥។ ពួក វាប្រុងចូលវាយផ្សារសៀមរាប ម្ដងទៀត ឬក៏ចូលវាយទីប្រជុំជនស្អាង។
