There were a lot of Viet Cong staying at various regions in Kampong Thom province. About 300 armed Viet Cong stayed at VU980-960 in Kokoh sub-district, while about 500 others stayed in Kakoh hospital at VU 996-959 and in Satuk pagoda at VU 967-997. Those enemies operated military action at night.
មានយួនយៀកកុងជាច្រើន បានមកស្នាក់នៅតាមតំបន់នានាក្នុង ខេត្ដកំពង់ធំ ឃុំកកោះ ត្រង់វ៉េអ៊ុយ ៩៩៦-៩៥៩ នៅក្នុងវត្ដសន្ទុក ត្រង់វ៉េអ៊ុយ ៩៦៧-៩៩៧ មានពួកខ្មាំងប្រហែល៥០០នាក់ ស្នាក់នៅ។ ពួកខ្មាំងខាងលើច្រើនធ្វើសកម្មភាពនៅពេលយប់។
