About 300 Khmer Communists in battalion 59 armed with 82mm mortars, 60mm mortars, 30mm machine guns, B40/ M79/ M16 guns and AK47 rifles built shelters at WU 598-288 in Tuol Keo village. On July 17, 1974, Khmer Communist soldiers placed two 105 mm heavy artilleries at WU 344-179 to the west of Khnong pagoda. On the other hand, they deployed 4 75 mm non rejected heavy artilleries, DK57 and 12,8mm machine guns at WU 485-153 along the edge of a river in Thmei village. They attempted to fire shells at Kampong Cham province.
ខ្មែរកុម្មុយនិស្ដប្រហែល៣០០នាក់ ក្នុងកងវរៈសេនាតូចលេខ៥៩ ក្រោម បញ្ជាការឈ្មោះ លី សូភាព ប្រដាប់ដោយកាំភ្លើងត្បាល់ទំហំ៨២មម, ៦០មម, កាំភ្លើងយន្ដ៣០មម, បេ៤០, អ៊ឹម៧៩, អ៊ឹម១៦ និង អាកា៤៧ មានទីតាំងនៅភូមិទួលកែវ ត្រង់ចំណុចឌុបដឺវ៉េអ៊ុយ៥៩៨-២៨៨។ កាលពីថ្ងៃ១៧-កក្កដា-១៩៧៤ ខ្មែរកុម្មុយនិស្ដបានតាំង កាំភ្លើងកាណុង១០៥មម ចំនួន២ដើម នៅខាងលិចវត្ដខ្នង់ ចំណុច ឌុបដឺវ៉េអ៊ុយ៣ ៤៤-១៧៩ និងកាំភ្លើងកាណុងអត់ធាក់ថយ ទំហំ៧៥មម ៤ដើម, ដេកា៥៧ ៤ដើម, កាំភ្លើងយន្ដ១២,៨មម តាមបណ្ដោយមាត់ទនេ្លក្នុងភូមិថ្មី ចំណុចឌុបដឺវ៉េអ៊ុយ៤៨៥-១៥៣ ដើម្បីបាញ់គាំទ្រមកលើខេត្ដកំពង់ចាម។
