On March 23, 1972, about 3,000 Yuon Viet Cong equipped with guns especially 122mm rockets and rockets shells, 75mm and 82mm guns hid in a forest located at Northeast of Region 1.
កាលពីថ្ងៃទី២៣ មីនា ១៩៧២ យួនយៀកកុងប្រដាប់អាវុធគ្រប់ធុន ចំនួនប្រហែល៣,០០០នាក់ ជាពិសេសមានកាំភ្លើងរ៉ុកែតទំហំ ១២២មម និងគ្រាប់ ព្រមទាំងកាំភ្លើងទំហំ៧៥មម និងកាំភ្លើង ៨២មម ជាច្រើនមករាយគ្នាលាក់ខ្លួននៅតាមព្រៃស្ថិតនៅខាងកើតឈៀងខាងជើង តំបន់១។
