Approximately 400 Yuon Viet Congs based in Khlang village, Kandal province, moved along Prasat Ta Yo road toward Kilometer No. 50, through National Road No. 1 in an attempt to cut off Prek Thmei bridge at WT:207-517 in Koki Thom commune, Kean Svay district in the up coming khmer New Years' days. They told the local people that after they cut off the bridge they would attack any region controlled by National Army.
មានពួកយួនយៀកកុងប្រហែល៤០០នាក់ ដែលតាំងជម្រកនៅភូមិឃ្លាំង ខេត្ដកណ្ដាល បានធើ្វដំណើរតាមផ្លូវប្រាសាទតាយោ សំដៅមកគីឡូម៉ែត្រ លេខ៥០ តាមផ្លូវជាតិលេខ១ មានបំណងមកកាត់ផ្ដាច់ស្ពានព្រែកថ្មី ត្រង់ចំណុចឌុបដឺវ៉េតេៈ២០៧-៥១៧ ក្នុងឃុំគគីរធំ ស្រុកកៀនស្វាយ ក្នុងឱកាសចូលឆ្នាំខ្មែរខាងមុខនេះ។ ពួកវាបាននិយាយប្រាប់អ្នកស្រុកថា កាលណាផ្ដាច់ព្រែកថ្មី ហើយពួកវានឹងវាយប្រហារនៅតំបន់ការពារជាតិ យើងត្រង់ចំណុចណាមួយណាមិនខាន។
