Between March 02-03, 1974, about 600 Khmer Communist soldisers armed with three (75 mm) injected heavy artilleriers moved from Prek Thmei village at WT 010-675 toward at the center of an area bordered by VT 985-690, 995-690, 985-080 and 995-680, in Kandal province. They had deployed these heavy artilleries at VT 995-686 in Prek Tmei sub-district, and they attempted to destroy national armed force base in Prek Ta Eov, Koh Kra Bei and Cham Puh Ka Ek and fire shells at Ta Kmao provincial town in shortly after that.
កាលពីថ្ងៃទី២-៣ ខែមីនា ឆ្នាំ១៩៧៤ ខ្មែរកុម្មុយនិស្ដប្រហែល៦០០ នាក់ ប្រដាប់ដោយអាវុធទំនើបៗ មានកាំភ្លើងកាណុងឥតធាក់ថយ ទំហំ៧៥មីលីម៉ែត្រ ចំនួន៣ដើមបានចេញពីព្រែកថ្មី ត្រង់ចំណុចឌុបដឺ វ៉េតេ ០១០-៦៧៥ មកតាំងជម្រកនៅក្នុងរង្វង់ត្រង់ចំណុចវ៉េតេ ៩៨៥-៦៩០, ៩៩៥-៦៩០, ៩៨៥-៦៨០, ៩៩០-៦៨០។ ហើយពួកវាបានតាំងកាំភ្លើង៧៥មីលីម៉ែត្រ របស់វានៅចំណុចវ៉េតេ ៩៩៥-៦៨៦ នៅក្នុងឃុំព្រែកថ្មី ពួកវាមានបំណងវាយយកទីតាំង ការពារជាតិយើងនៅព្រែកតាអែវ, កោះក្របី និងចំពុះក្អែក ហើយវា នឹងបាញ់ផ្លោងមកទីក្រុងតាខ្មៅនៅក្នុងពេលឆាប់ៗខាងមុខនេះ។
