1,000 North Yuon Viet Cong and Khmer Viet Cong armed forces set up shelters with well protected trenches in Prey Nhoek village at VT:664-366 in sangkat Tuol Ampel, Korng Pisey district, Kampong Speu province. Another 500 Vietnamese based at VT:650-445 in Snam Kra Peu sub-district, Korng Pisey district in an attempt to attack military position in Tram Khna. On April 8, 1971, around Kay Roung, there was a heavy attack. After the fighting the enemies withdrew in South toward 2 km far from Kay Roung at VT:645-406, sangkat Stuk, Kong Pisey district, Kampong Speu Province.
ពួកយៀកកុងយួនខាងជើង និងខ្មែរយៀកកុងចំនួន១,០០០នាក់ ភាគច្រើន គឺយួនប្រដាប់អាវុធធុនធ្ងន់មកតាំងជម្រកដោយមានជីក លេណដ្ឋានយ៉ាងមាំនៅភូមិព្រៃញឹក ត្រង់ចំណុចវ៉េតេៈ៦៦៤-៣៦៦ ក្នុងសង្កាត់ទួលអំពិល ស្រុកគងពិសី ខេត្ដកំពង់សឺ្ព។ ហើយពួកវា៥០០ នាក់ ទៀតសុទ្ធតែយួនមកតាំងមូលដ្ឋានត្រង់ចំណុចវ៉េតេៈ៦៥០-៤៤៥ ក្នុងសង្កាត់ស្នំក្រពើ ស្រុកគងពិសី គោលបំណងប្រុងវាយទីតាំងទ័ព នៅត្រាំខ្នា លុះដល់ថ្ងៃទី៨ ខែមេសា ឆ្នាំ១៩៧១ នៅម្ដុំកាយរូង មាន ការប្រយុទ្ធគ្នាយ៉ាងខ្លាំងក្រោយពីការប្រយុទ្ធពួកខ្មាំងថយ ទៅទិសខាង ត្បូងកាយរូង ចម្ងាយ២គ.ម ត្រង់ចំណុចវ៉េតេៈ៦៤៥-៤០៦ សង្កាត់ស្ដុក ស្រុក ខេត្ដដដែល។
