On December 4, 1972, approximately 1,000 North Yuon-Khmer Viet Cong and Khmer Muslim troops were divided into 2 groups. The first group of 500 soldiers stayed in Boeng Tachey village at VT 635-939, TRach Torng sub-district, Udong Mea Chey, and the other group 500 soldiers stayed in Tra Peang Russei village at VT 714-963, Chrey Las sub-district, Oudong district (Oudong Meanchey). They intended to attack National Army in Tako village at VT 773-959.
កាលពីថ្ងៃទី៤-ធ្នូ-១៩៧២ យៀកកុងយួនខាងជើង ខ្មែរយៀកកុង ខ្មែរអ៊ីស្លាមចំនួនប្រហែល១,០០០នាក់ ប្រដាប់អាវុធគ្រប់ដៃចែកគ្នាជា ២ក្រុម។ ក្រុម១មាន៥០០នាក់ ស្នាក់នៅភូមិបឹងតាជៃ ត្រង់ចំណុច វ៉េតេ ៦៣៥-៩៣៩ ក្នុងឃុំត្រាចទង ស្រុកទ្រាចទង (ឧត្ដុង្គមានជ័យ) និងក្រុមទី២មាន៥០០នាក់ទៀត ស្នាក់នៅភូមិត្រពាំងឫស្សី ត្រង់ចំណុច វ៉េតេ ៧១៤-៩៦៣ ក្នុងឃុំជ្រៃលាស់ ស្រុកឧដុង្គ។ ខ្មាំងមានបំណង វាយប្រហារកងទ័ពយើងនៅភូមិតាគោ ត្រង់ចំណុចវ៉េតេ ៧៧៣-៩៥៩។
