On February 7, 1973, approximately 1,900 Khmer Viet Cong armed forces in black, blue and Para uniform of region 24, 56 and 33, under the command of Sen Say, moved from Phnom Chsak to hide in villges of Kandal Stung district, Kandal province in an attempt to attack Takhmao provincial town and Phnom Penh.
កាលពីថ្ងៃទី៧ ខែកុម្ភៈ ឆ្នាំ១៩៧៣ ខ្មែរយៀកកុងចំនួនប្រហែល ១,៩០០នាក់ ស្លៀកពាក់ខ្មៅខ្លះតេ្រអ៊ីខ្លះ និងប៉ារ៉ាខ្លះប្រដាប់អាវុធគ្រប់ ដៃសិ្ថតនៅក្នុងតំបន់លេខ២៤, ៥៦ និង ៣៣ ក្រោមបញ្ជាការឈ្មោះ សេន សយ បានធើ្វចលនាចេញពីភ្នំផ្សាក ឡើងមកបង្កប់ខ្លួនតាមភូមិ នានាក្នុងស្រុកកណ្ដាលសឹ្ទង ខេត្ដកណ្ដាល។ក្នុងគោលបំណងវាយប្រហារ ក្រុងតាខ្មៅ និងក្រុងភ្នំពេញ។
