On December 4, 1972, 80 Khmer Viet Cong armed forces moved from UU 685-776 and UU 772-755, Phsa Leu commune, Bakan district, to set up shelters at UU 974-815, Tnaot Chum commune, Kra Kor district. They intended to raid on National Army who were travelling along National Road No.5, and seize small and large size motorbike and cars of the army.
កាលពីថ្ងៃ៤-ធ្នូ-១៩៧២ មានខ្មែរយៀកកុងប្រដាប់អាវុធ ប្រហែល៨០នាក់ បានចេញពីចំណុចអ៊ុយអ៊ុយ ៦៨៥-៧៧៦ ដល់អ៊ុយអ៊ុយ ៧៧២-៧៧៥ ក្នុងសង្កាត់ផ្សារលើ ស្រុកបាកាន ទៅតាំងជម្រកនៅចំណុចអ៊ុយអ៊ុយ ៩៧៤-៨១៥ សង្កាត់ត្នោតជុំ ស្រុកក្រគរ។ ពួកខ្មាំងខាងលើមានបំណងចាំឈ្លបចាប់រថយន្ដ ម៉ូតូ តូច ធំ ព្រមទាំងទាហានជាតិដែលធ្វើចរាចរតាមផ្លូវជាតិលេខ៥។
