On July 17, 1972, about 3,000 North Yuon-Khmer Viet Congs soldiers built a headquarter at UV 780-825 in Angkor Tauch temple, Bakheng mountain, and Angkor Thom temple at UV 770-860 in Siem Reap province. They stored ammunition and rice at VV 733-820 in Prasat Preah Khan and Prasat Taprum in Siem Reap province.
ថ្ងៃ១៧-កក្កដា-១៩៧២ យៀកកុងយួនខាងជើង និងខ្មែរយៀកកុង ចំនួនប្រហែល៣,០០០នាក់ បានតាំងទីបញ្ជាការនៅភ្នំបាខែង អង្គរតូច ត្រង់ចំណុចអ៊ុយវ៉េ ៧៨០-៨២៥ និងអង្គរធំ ត្រង់ចំណុច អ៊ុយវ៉េ ៧៧០-៨៦០ ហើយចំណុចខាងលើនេះខ្មាំងបានផ្ទុកអង្គរ និងគ្រាប់រំសេវជាច្រើន នៅក្នុងប្រាសាទព្រះខ័ន ត្រង់ចំណុចវ៉េវ៉េ ៧៣៣-៨២០ និងប្រាសាទតាព្រុំ ក្នុងខេត្ដសៀមរាប។
