On December 20, 1974, Vann Nhoep was accused of taking the child named Soy to Khmer Rouges by National Armed Forces in Lvea Check-point. He confessed that that day when he moved to get Trou (Kind of fishing instument consisting of a long round cage made of bamboo trips and tapering at both ends), he saw three Khmer-rouges arrested this child. Until evening at the sameday, he saw this child turned back to his home. While Vann Nhoep was moving to get his Trou, this child asked him to go along, because his field was near the place where he put Trou.
កាលពីថ្ងៃ២៨ ធ្នូ ១៩៧៤ ឈ្មោះ វ៉ាន ញឹប បានសារភាពថាខ្លួនបាន ធ្វើដំណើរទៅលើកទ្រូដូចធម្មតា ប៉ុន្ដែនៅថ្ងៃនោះ ប្រភពបានជួប ខ្មែរក្រហម៣នាក់ដើរកាត់ទីនោះ ព្រមទាំងបាននាំកេ្មងប្រុសម្នាក់ ឈ្មោះ សយ ទៅជាមួយផង។ លុះដល់ពេលល្ងាចថ្ងៃដដែល ស្រាប់តែឃើញ កេ្មងប្រុសនោះត្រឡប់មកផ្ទវិញ ហើយបន្ទាប់មក កេ្មងប្រុសនោះបាន ទៅប្ដឹងទាហាននៅប៉ុស្ដិ៍ល្វាឱ្យមកចាប់ឈ្មោះ វ៉ាន ញឹប ដោយចោទថា បាននាំខ្លួនទៅឱ្យខ្មែរក្រហមចាប់។ សូមបញ្ជាក់ថា ពេលដែលឈ្មោះ វ៉ាន ញឹប ទៅលើកទ្រូ កេ្មងនោះក៏ទៅជាមួយដែរ ព្រោះដីស្រែរបស់កេ្មងនោះ នៅជាប់កន្លែងដាក់ទ្រូរបស់ឈ្មោះ ញឹប ដែរ។
