On February 26, 1973, about 500 Yuon-Khmer Viet Cong armed forces deployed in local people's houses of Kambao village at VT 952-635 and Ach Kok village at VT 958-625, Takhmau sub-district, Kandal stung district of Kandal province. They intented to cut off Prek Hol bridge and attack Takhmau provincial town very soon.
កាលពីថ្ងៃទី២៦ កុម្ភៈ ១៩៧៣ យួនយៀកកុង និងខ្មែរយៀកកុងចំនួន ប្រហែល៥០០នាក់ ប្រដាប់អាវុធគ្រប់ដៃចូលមករាយបណ្ដាក់គ្នាតាម ផ្ទះអ្នកស្រុកនេភូមិកំបោរ ត្រង់ចំណុចវ៉េតេ ៩៥២-៦៣៥ និងភូមិអាចម៍កុក ត្រង់ចំណុចវ៉េតេ ៩៥៨-៦២៥ ក្នុងឃុំតាខ្មៅ ស្រុកកណ្ដាលស្ទឹង ខេត្ដកណ្ដាល ក្នុងគោលបំណងផ្ដាច់ស្ពានព្រែកហូរ និងវាយលុកក្រុងតាខ្មៅ ក្នុងពេលឆាប់ៗខាងមុខនេះ។
