On January 14, 1973, about 250 North Yuon Viet Cong troops equipped with sophisticated weapons and a lot of grenades, deployed along Prek Khsach at VU 932-016, Svay Rumpea VU 943-078, and VU 945-075, Muk Kampoul district, Kandal province. They intended to attack National Army based in Roka Kaong and to destroy Kampong Prasat bridge.
កាលពីថ្ងៃទី១៤ ខែមករា ឆ្នាំ១៩៧៣ យៀកកុងយួនខាងជើងចំនួន ប្រមាណ២៥០នាក់ ប្រដាប់អាវុធទំនើបៗ និងគ្រាប់បែកដៃជាច្រើន គ្រាប់មករាយគ្នានៅតាមព្រែកខ្សាច់ ត្រង់ចំណុចវ៉េអ៊ុយៈ ៩៣២-០១៦ ស្វាយរំពារ ចំណុចវ៉េអ៊ុយៈ ៩៤៣-០៧៨, វ៉េអ៊ុយៈ ៩៤៥-០៧៥ ក្នុងស្រុកមុខកំពូល ខេត្ដកណ្ដាល។ ខ្មាំងខាងលើនេះមាន គោលបំណងវាយប្រហារទីតាំងទ័ពយើងនៅរកាកោង និងបំផ្លាញស្ពានកំពង់ ប្រាសាទ។
