A source reported that on January 2, 1974, about 3 Battalions of Khmer Communist soldiers, each soldiers wore a tiger headtage, moved down from Trapeang Kraloeng in Tang Sya quarter, Kampong Speu province to Tmat Porng mountain at VT 656-791 in Tuol Prech sub-district, Ang Snuol district, Udong Meanchey province. They had parked a lot of GMC trucks at VT 248-596 near a river about 700m to the north of Wat Prey Rormiet. They attempted to destroy the National armed forces bases from Ang Snuol district toward the east in shortly there after.
ប្រភពព័ត៌មានបានផ្ដល់មកថា កាលពីថ្ងៃ២-មករា-១៩៧៤ ខ្មែរកុម្មុយនិស្ដចំនួនប្រហែល៣កងវរៈសេនាតូច ប្រដាប់អាវុធ គ្រប់ដៃពាក់សញ្ញាក្បាលខ្លាបានដកថយពីត្រពាំងក្រឡឹង សង្កាត់ តាំងស្យា ខេត្ដកំពង់់ស្ពឺ ចូលមកស្នាក់នៅភ្នំត្មាតពង ត្រង់ចំណុចវ៉េតេ ៦៥៦-៧៩១ ក្នុងសង្កាត់ទួលពេ្រច ស្រុកអង្គស្នួល(ឧត្ដុង្គមានជ័យ)។ ជាពិសេសខ្មាំងបានយករថយន្ដហេ្សអ៊ឹមសេជាច្រើនគ្រឿង មកចត នៅក្បែរមាត់ស្ទឹងខាងជើងវត្ដព្រៃរមៀត ចម្ងាយប្រហែល៧០០ម ត្រង់ចំណុចវ៉េតេ ២៤៨-៥៩៦។ ប្រភពព័ត៌មាន បានផ្ដល់មកទៀតថា ខ្មាំងខាងលើនេះមានគោលបំណងប្រុងវាយប្រហារកងទ័ពជាតិពីអង្គស្នួល មកទិសខាងកើតក្នុងពេលឆាប់ៗខាងមុខនេះ។
