On January 11, 1974, the Khmer Communist soldiers from 2 platoons in black uniforms and sheos made of tyres armed with 2 82mm mortars and many rifles deployed at VT 977-880 and VT 973-880 in Andaung pagoda which was about 1,500 metres form Prek Kraboa pagoda in Prek Ampel sub-district, Prek Luong district (Vihear Suor). They attempted to fire shells at Phnom Penh city.
កាលពីថ្ងៃទី១១ មករា ១៩៧៤ ខ្មែរកុម្មុយនិស្ដប្រហែល ពីរកង វរៈសេនាធំស្លៀកពាក់ខ្មៅពាក់ស្បែកជើងកៅស៊ូកង់ឡានព្រដាប់អាវុធ គ្រប់ដៃ ជាពិសេសមានកាំភ្លើងត្បាល់៨២មម ២ដើម បានចូលមក រាយគ្នាស្នាក់នៅវត្ដអណ្ដូងចម្ងាយ១,៥០០ម ពីវត្ដព្រែកក្របៅ ត្រង់ ចំណុចវ៉េតេ ៩៧៧-៨៨០, ៩៧៣-៨៨០ ក្នុងសង្កាត់ព្រែកអំពិល (វិហារសួគ៌)។ ពិសេសខ្មាំងបានស្ដុកគ្រាប់រំសេវនៅទីនោះជាច្រើន ថែមទៀត ខ្មាំងខាងលើនេះមាននាទីបាញ់កាំភ្លើងធំផ្លោងចូលក្រុងភ្នំពេញ។
