Around 100 Khmer Communist soldiers who were fighting around Phnom Penh city, theycame from Amleang, Kampong Chhnang and Kampong Cham province, and divided into two groups, to hide in Phnom Penh city. The first group of communist soldiers wore a part of greancloth a long bottoms of uniforms, and were responsible for sabotageing and subverting in Phnom Penh, during their soldiers attacked around Phnom Penh outskirt. The second group of communist soldiers wore a piece of grean cloth under their armpits, and were responsible for speading propaganda and forcibly gathering villagers toward their region.
សព្វថ្ងៃនេះខ្មាំងកំពង់វាយប្រហារនៅជុំវិញទីក្រុងភ្នំពេញ ពិសេស គឺទ័ពចុះមកពីអមលាំងរួមជាមួយទ័ពចុះមកពីកំពង់ឆ្នាំង និងខេត្ដកំពង់ចាម ចាត់គ្នាប្រហែល១០០នាក់ ចែកជាពីរក្រុមឱ្យក្លែងបន្លំចូលមកក្រុង ភ្នំពេញ។ ក្រុមទី១ ក្លែងបន្លំដោយប៉ានក្រណាតពណ៌ខៀវតាម បណ្ដោយឡេវអាវហើយមាននាទីដើរធ្វើភេវកម្ម វិចេ្ឆទកម្មនិង វិទ្ធង្សនាផេ្សងៗនៅពេលកងទ័ពខាងក្រៅវាយប្រហារខិតចូលមកទីក្រុង។ ក្រុមទី២ បានកំណត់ព៌ណខៀវនៅក្រោមឃ្លៀក មាននាទីឃោសនា និងកៀរអ្នកស្រុកទៅកាន់តំបន់វាកាន់កាប់នៅពេលកងទ័ពវាវាយ ប្រហារខិតចូលមកទីក្រុងភ្នំពេញ។
