On January 24, 1974, at 4:00pm, about 1,000 Khmer Communist in regiment 06 and 09 equipped with sophisticated weapons including many 82mm and 60mm mortars moved from the south of road 38 to the north in an attempt to set up shelters and deploy in certain villages, Kal Khsach village at VT 833-636, Kraing village at VT852-656, Koh Krasaing village at VT 866-662, Koh Ovloek village at VT 861-669, Prek Pranak village at VT 891-667. They intended to attack national army based at Stung Prek Tnaot, especially, to conquer Stung Meanchey Radio station and Phnom Penh from the Southern.
កាលពីថ្ងៃ២៤-មករា-១៩៧៤ ម៉េាង១៦ៈ០០ ខ្មែរកុម្មុយនិស្ដ ប្រហែល១,០០០នាក់ ប្រដាប់អាវុធទំនើបៗជាពិសេសមានកាំភ្លើង ត្បាល់៨២មម និង៦០មម ជាច្រើនដើមស្ថិតនៅក្នុងកងវរៈសេនាធំ លេខ០៦ និង០៩ បានធ្វើចលនាចេញពីត្បូងផ្លូវលេខ៣៨ សំដៅមក ខាងជើងចូលតាំងជម្រកស្នាក់នៅក្នុងភូមិកល់ខ្សាច់ ត្រង់វ៉េតេ ៨៣៣-៦៣៦, ភូមិក្រាំង ត្រង់វ៉េតេ ៨៥២-៦៥៦, ភូមិគោកក្រសាំង ត្រង់វ៉េតេ ៨៦៦-៦៦២, ភូមិគោកឪឡឹក ត្រង់វ៉េតេ ៨៦១-៦៦៩, ភូមិព្រែកប្រណាក ត្រង់វ៉េតេ ៨៩១-៦៦៧។ ខ្មាំងមាន គោលបំណងវាយប្រហារ និងរុញច្រានកងទ័ពជាតិ យើងនៅស្ទឹងព្រែក ត្នោត ជាពិសេសវាយ ប្រហារស្ថានីយ៍វិទ្យុស្ទឹងមានជ័យ និងចូលក្រុង ភ្នំពេញពីទិសខាងត្បូង។
