Source said that Khmer Communist threw a party after their victory over the attack on Chakrei Ting factory in Kampot province. After the party the enemy prepared a plan to fight Kampot provincial town. The fight was expected to take very short time as they had some of their forces hide in the town, so they could fight from inside the town.
ប្រភពបានផ្ដល់មកថា ពួកខ្មែរកុម្មុយនិស្ដបានធ្វើពិធីជប់លៀងមួយ ក្រោយពីជោគជ័យក្នុងការវាយប្រហារនៅរោងចក្រចក្រីទីង កំពត។ បន្ទាប់ពីជប់លៀងរួចពួកខាំងបានរៀបចំគម្រោងការវាយប្រហារ នៅទីក្រុងកំពតទៀត ដោយធ្វើការវាយប្រហារតែក្នុងរយៈពេលខ្លីបំផុត ព្រោះពួកខ្មាំងបានឱ្យជនបង្កប់របស់វាមកបន្លំខ្លួនក្នុងក្រុងរួចហើយ ដើម្បីឱ្យពួកទាំងនោះវាយចេញពីកណ្ដាលក្រុងមកវិញ។
