On February 17, 1974, about 60 Khmer Communist , equipped with weapons such as 2 of 30mm, 20 of 81mm, 10 of B40 machine guns and Chinese machine guns, came to deploy at various points such as VU 764-548, 754-540 and 767-535 until 776-525. The above enemy intended to attack the national sub-district, unit who would return from Kampong Chhnang to Phnom Penh in the future.
កាលពីថ្ងៃ១៧-កុម្ភះ-១៩៧៤ មានខ្មែរកុម្មុយនិស្ដប្រហែល៦០នាក់ ប្រដាប់ដោយកាំភ្លើងយន្ដ៣០មម ២ដើម, ៨១មម ២ដើម, បេ៤០ ១០ដើម ព្រមទាំងកាំភ្លើងយន្ដចិនផង បានចូលមករាយគ្នានៅតាម ចំណុចនានាដូចជា វ៉េអ៊ុយ ៧៦៤-៥៤៨, ៧៥៤-៥៤០ និង ៧៦៧-៥៣៥ ដល់ ៧៧៦-៥២៥។ ពួកខាំងខាងលើមានបំណងវាយ ប្រហារកងម៉ារីនជាតិ ដែលត្រឡប់មកពីកំពង់ឆ្នាំងវិញ នាពេលខាងមុខ។
