On September 27, 1974, a Khmer Rouge soldier Chea Sarin, 17 years old, defected to Buddhist Monks in wat Pothivong, Battambang province.
កាលពីថ្ងៃទី២៧ ខែកញ្ញា ឆ្នាំ១៩៧៤ មានខ្មែរភ្ញាក់រឮកម្នាក់ឈ្មោះ ជា សារិន អាយុ ១៧ឆ្នាំ ជាយោធាខ្មែរក្រហម បានចុះចូល និងព្រះសង្ឃនៅវត្ដពោធិ៍វង្ស ខេត្ដបាត់ដំបង។
