Chronology of Events of the Mayaguez incident (call times are eastern daylight Saving time): In May 12, Mr. John Neal of the data exploration Co. in Jaarta, Indonesia received a mayday call from the Mayaguez. Message stated "Have been fired upon and boarded by Cambodian armed forces at 9 degrees 48 mn North, 102 degrees 53 mn East. Ship is being towed to unknown Cambodian port".
ប្រវតិ្ដនៃព្រឹត្ដិការណ៍ឧប្បត្ដិហេតុម៉ាយ៉ាហេ្គស ៈ នៅថ្ងៃទី១២ ឧសភា លោក ចន នៀល របស់ក្រុមស្វែងរកទិន្និន័យនៅចាអាតា។ ឥណ្ឌូនេស៊ី បានទទួលរលកសញ្ញាសុំជំនួយពីម៉ាយ៉ាហេ្គស។ សារនេះ បានថ្លែងថា បន្ទាប់ពីបានវាយហ្រារ និងឃាត់នាវាពីសំណាក់កងកម្លាំង យោធាកម្ពុជា នៅចំណុច ៩ដឺកេ្រ ៤៨មន ខ្សែរយៈខាងជើង និងនៅចំណុច ១០២ដឺកេ្រ ៥៣មន ខ្សែរយៈខាងកើត។ នាវានេះ បានរឹបអូសទៅដោយមិនស្គាល់កំពង់ផែកម្ពុជា។
