At the night of December 30, 1973, Khmer Communist army destroyed national road 1 at kilometer 13.5, La Eth block. The fight still went on till December 31, 1973 at 4 am. On December 31, 1973, at 11:30 am, villagers fled out of the village near Prey Eng pagoda. The villagers reported that the enemies were about 100 people. They intended to attacked national army at Prek Eng market and Prek Eng pagoda tonight or night on January 01, 1974.
នៅរាត្រីថ្ងៃទី៣០ ធ្នូ ១៩៧៣ ទ័ពខ្មែរកុម្មុយនិស្ដបានវាយ ផ្ដាច់ផ្លូវជាតិលេខ១ត្រង់គីឡូម៉ែត្រលេខ១៣ កន្លះម្ដុំឡអិដ្ឋ។ រហូតមកដល់ថ្ងៃទី ៣១ ធ្នូ ១៩៧៣ ម៉េាង៤ៈ០០ នៅកំពុងវាយ ជាប់ដៃវាយប្រហារគ្នានៅឡើយ។ ថ្ងៃទី៣១ ធ្នូ១៩៧៣ ម៉េាង១១ៈ០០៣០នាទី មានអ្នកស្រុកជាច្រើនគ្រួសារបានភៀស ខ្លួនចេញពីភូមិនៅក្បែរវត្ដព្រែកឯង។ អ្នកស្រុកទាំងនោះ បាន រាយការណ៍ថាមានគ្នាប្រហែល១០០នាក់។ ពួកនេះប្រុងវាយ កងទ័ពជាតិនៅក្នុងវត្ដព្រែកឯង និងផ្សារព្រែកឯង វេលាយប់នេះឬយប់ ថ្ងៃទី១ មករា ១៩៧៤។
