"Statement by President" April 17, 1975, office of the White House press secretary, Natinal Security Adviser, presidential country files for East Asia and the pacific, 1974-1977. " The United States views the fall of the Govervnment of the Khmer Republic with sadness and compassion". I wish to express my admiration for Cambodian Government leaders and people, who showed courage until the end, and to their armed forces who fought valiantly with their remaining supplies.
សេចក្ដីថ្លែងការណ៍ដោយប្រធានាធិបតី នៅថ្ងៃទី១៧ មេសា ១៩៧៥ នៅការិយាល័យសេតវិមាន, ក្រុមប្រឹក្សាសន្ដិសុខជាតិ, អាស៊ីខាងកើត និងប៉ាស៊ីហ្វិច នៅឆ្នាំ១៩៧៤-១៩៧៧។ សហរដ្ឋអាមេរិកមាន សេចក្ដីសៅហ្មង និងទុក្ខសោតចំពោះការដួលរលំនៃរដ្ឋាភិបាល សាធារណរដ្ឋខ្មែរ។ ខ្ញុំពិតជាមានការកោតសរសើរថ្នាក់ដឹកនាំរដ្ឋាភិបាល កម្ពុជា និងប្រជាជនកម្ពុជា រួមទាំងកងកម្លាំងប្រដាប់អាវុធ ដែលមាន ភាពអង្គអាចរហូតដល់ទីបញ្ចប់ជាមួយនឹងស្បៀងអាហារដែលនៅ សេសសល់។
