On August 23, 1974, a report drafted for the Deputy Assistant to the President for National Security Affairs was described the activities of KAF (Khmer Airforce) to go against the KC (Khmer Communist) of Siem Reap on route 4. There was a Cambodian map that it showed the place where the attack happend.
របាយការណ៍ព្រាងផ្ញើជូនជំនួយការរង ប្រធានការរងសន្ដិសុខជាតិ ស្ដីពីសកម្មភាពទ័ពអាកាសរបស់ខ្មែរប្រឆាំង នឹងទ័ពខ្មែរកុម្មុយនីស្ដ តាមផ្លូវអាកាសលេខ២៤ កាលពីថ្ងៃទី២៣ ខែសីហា ឆ្នាំ១៩៧៤។ ភ្ជាប់ដោយផែនទីប្រទេសកម្ពុជា បង្ហាញពីកន្លែងកើតហេតុ។
