The Mayaguez ship was captured by the armed force of Cambodia after it was in 6 Km of Khmer island. the troops in the ship were sent to Phnom Penh for negotiation. At 5 PM, the troops and the ship were released, but the same time the American air force bombed Koh Tang because they thought their troops had been killed.
កប៉ាល់ម៉ាយ៉ាហេ្គស ត្រូវបានកងប្រដាប់អាវុធកម្ពុជា ឃាត់ទុកបន្ទាប់ពីបានជិះចូលកោះប្រទេសកម្ពុជា ចម្ងាយ៦គម។ ទ័ពដែលស្ថិតនៅក្នុងកប៉ាល់ បានបញ្ជូនទៅក្រុងភ្នំពេញ ដើម្បីធ្វើការចរចារ។ នៅម៉េាង៦ៈ០០រសៀល កប៉ាល់ និងទ័ពទាំងអស់ត្រូវបានដោះលែង។ នៅវេលាម៉េាងដដែលនេះ កងអាកាសសហរដ្ឋអាមេរិចបានទម្លាក់គ្រាប់បែកនៅកោះតាំង ព្រោះពួកគេគិតថាកងទ័ពរបស់ខ្លួនត្រូវគេសម្លាប់។
