Memorandum for the President, from Henry A. Kissinger, the subject communication with the communist chinese, As following: As I mentioned to you at the time on the phone, Professor Ernst Winters, anaturalized American working with UNESCO in Paris, and an old acquaintance, called me on May 3 to replay the reaction of personnal in the communist chinese Embassy in Paris to your decision on the Cambodian sometuaries. This reaction was obtained on April 30, i.e., before your speech. The chinese were aware of only south Vietnamese ground operatons in Cambodia, not our own.
អនុស្សរណៈរបស់លោកប្រធានាធិបតីផ្ញើពី ហេនរី ឃីសស៊ីនហ្គ័រ ស្ដីពី ទំនាក់ទំនងជាមួយចិនកុម្មុយនិស្ដដូចខាងក្រោម ៈ ដូចដែលខ្ញុំបានជម្រាបប្រាប់លោកតាមទូរស័ព្ទហើយថា សាស្ដ្រាចារ្យ អៀន វីនធ័រ ជនជាតិអាមេរិកកាំង ធ្វើការជាមួយយូនីស្គូ នៅទីក្រុង ប៉ារីស និងមិត្ដរួមបានទូរស័ព្ទមកខ្ញុំ កាលពីថ្ងៃទី០៣ ឧសភា ដើម្បី បង្ហាញពីប្រតិកម្មរបស់ផ្ទាល់ខ្លួនចំពោះការសមេ្រចចិត្ដរបស់ស្ថានទូតចិន កុម្មុយនិស្ដចំពោះប្រទេសកម្ពុជា។ ប្រតិកម្មនេះទទួលបានកាលពីថ្ងៃទី ៣០ មេសា មុនការថ្លែងសុន្ទរកថារបស់លោក។ ប្រទេសចិន បាន ស្វែងយល់ពីស្ថានភាពប្រតិបត្ដិការរបស់វៀតណាមខាងត្បូងនៅកម្ពុជា មិនមែនរបស់យើងទេ។
