Interviewed with Rim's father Poek Ros. He said that Rim aka Sruoch joined the revolution in 1973 after Rim entered monkshood for two years at Dambauk Mean Leak pagoda. It was when Sruoch was 16 years old. If he were alive, Sruoch would be 55. Sruoch is the oldest in the family. His other two sisters disappeared after Angkar assigned them to join the revolution. Poek Ros confirmed that the villagers who joined the revolution with Ros and have returned home said that Angkar arrested Sruoch and kept him at Prey Sa prison. Him An added that he used to meet Sruoch at the Central Hospital of Voreak 46 at Tuol Kok in 1978. Angkar arrested Sruoch by accusing him of having moral offenses with the sister of the division chief. Currently Sruoch's wife lives in O Nong in Koh Kong province. |
