Um Samnang, train worker, confessed that Pav, train driver, spread propaganda against the party, was disillusioned with the revolutionary regime, looked down on the new workers by comparing them to wild monkeys that knew nothing of cars, markets and cities. However, it was hard to live side by side with them.
