On July 12, 1971, about 100 Khmer Viet Cong stayed along Prey Boeng Thom VT 965-656, in Takhmau commune, Kandal Stung district, Kandal province. The above enemy attempted National Army who were guarding bridges along National Road No.2.
កាលពីថ្ងៃ១២ ខែកក្កដា ឆ្នាំ១៩៧១ ខ្មែរយៀកកុងចំនួនប្រហែល ១០០នាក់ បានមកស្នាក់នៅតាមមាត់ព្រៃបឹងធំ ត្រង់ចំណុចវ៉េតេ ៩៦៥-៦៥៦ ក្នុងឃុំតាខ្មៅ ស្រុកកណ្ដាលស្ទឹង ខេត្ដកណ្ដាល។ ខ្មាំងខាងលើនេះមានបំណងវាយប្រហារកងការពារជាតិយើងដែលយាម ការពារស្ពាននៅតាមផ្លូវជាតិលេ២។
