Along a dirty, dusty road beyond Phnom Penh's Pochentong airport surround by refugees, an attempt is being made to preserve Cambodia's remaining performing arts. A 10-acre plot, which consists of caked mud and a row of shacks, houses the folklore section of the city's University of Fine Arts. more than a hundred boys and girls live here and, juding by the enthusiansm with which they construct a workshop out of ammunition case, it must be one of the few sites left in Cambodia where it is possible to see people really enjoying themselves.
