Summary / Abstract :
|
The municipal and provincal election in the Saigon controled zone were held, as expected, in an atmosphere of teror and military repression. This July 14, 1974 bloody farce caused in the very count of the Saigon command's communique 278 killed and 367 wounded, with the following breakdown; 181 Viet Cong killed, 70 killed and 236 wounded among Saigon men and officers, 27 killed and 130 wounded among the civilians.
