|
The American airlift to Phnom Penh was suspended again early today after bombardment of Pochengtong airport with rocket and artillery fire by Khmer Rouge forces six milles to the north-west. According to the American Embassy only three sorties by cargo aircraft were made before the suspension came into effect. Normally about 40 sorties are made daily, bringing about 1,500 tons of rice, ammunition and fuel into Phnom Penh.
