Senate President Saukham Khoy, who would automatically become acting president of Cambodia if Marshal Lon Nol steps down, has told reporters he hopes to negotiation a peace settlement with the communistled insurgents besieging Phnom Penh. Mr Khoy, speaking to reporters last night, Said He did not play a leading role in the overthrow of Prince Norodom Sihanouk in 1970 and had no quarrel with him. The prince, leader of the Royal Governmet of National Union, is titular head of the insurgents. Mr.Khoy's statement came amid hardering speculation that marshal Lon Nol would either resign or simply stay abroard after on oversea tour expected to begin tomorrow.
