Summary / Abstract :
|
Phnom Penh fell to the people's national liberation armed forces of Cambodia on April 17, but accounts of what happened did not become available in the world press until May 8. The journalists who witnessed the take-over were barred from sending out dispatches. After reaching Thailand in a convoy of Refugees May 3, they agreed to hold up their reported until several hundred additional refugees had crossed the border.
