Summary / Abstract :

A warm worldwide reception has been given to the October 8, 1974 statement of the provisional revolutionary government of the republic of South Vietnam, calling for an end to US military involement and interference in the internal affairs of South Vietnam, removal of Nguyen Van Thieu and Setting up of a new administration which approves of peace, national reconciliation and concord and implementation of the Paris agreement. The statement has been viewed by many as offering the best way to a South Vietnam settlement in the present circumstances.
