According to plaintive protect from the Agency for International Development, House investigators are trying to "discredit" the US aid program for Cambodia. In the circumstances, that seems to amound to a charge of unfair completition. It was not the Government operations committee that approved $370,000 worth of cars and station wagons for Cambodian government officials and bankers, or authorized the expenditure of $1 million on soft-drink equipment or agreed to payment of $65,000 in "aid" for air-conditioning. It was AID, as the Committee's unanimous, bipartisan report attests.
