Road Nº. 4 linking Phnom Penh to Sihanouk vill is life - line of the Lon Nol Sirik Matak triumvirate. It is now entirely in the hands of the Khmer patriotic leagered in Phnom Penh have begun to fell its effects. This Road has been since the beginning of the dry season a trues shambles for the Phnom Penh troops. In only one week, From Novermber 20 to 27, 1970 in the Kirirum area and the Pick Nil mountain Pass, the Patriotic troops wiped out 9 Lon Nol battalion and completely overran the CP of the Kirirom sub-section.
