Paris: A group of Khmer Communists is successfully isolating prince Norodom Sihanouk, who now enjoys little or no power in the Cambodian hierarchy-in-exile led by Ieng Sary, the group is evolving a kind of Khmer Mao line, making Sihanouk attend "self-purification" sessions and emphasising that power lies with people. At the same time, Cambodian of differing political beliefs are meeting privately in various parts of Cambodia to discuss the future of their countrty. From most accounts, it appears that Sihanouk is nearing the end of the road while Cambodia political activists are preparing for a new socialist-orientated future.
