On April 12, the Ford administration sent warplanes, helicopters and marines to evacuate from Phnom Penh US military and civilian personnel and a number native collborators with the US. This retreat of the US ignominiously would up its 5 years long criminal aggression in Cambodia. It was a setback for all the strategies and customary tricks of imperialism and neoconialism under the Nixon doctring, rainging from counter-revolutionary coup d'etat to minitary intervention, from direct aggression by US troops to the use of counter revolutionary forces against the patriotie forces.
