Summary / Abstract :
|
We know who Lon Nol is - Sihanouk's former "right arm" and the last of the great palindromes in Cambodian politics. (There was another, Mr. Meas Saem, who is now retired. I met him in the bank the other day. He was wearing a brown browler hat and long loose white shirt. What particularly struck me, however, was the fact that he had painted his toes a brilliant red.) and we know roughly what Lon Nol and his side are up to. But what about the Khmer Rouge? Perhaps the most obscure of the world's major revolutionary groups, and the last to swing seriously into action in Indochina, and what is it doing now?
