Convened at a time when the US was suffering heavy defeats in its aggressive war in Vietnam and Lao and after Nixon staged a counter-revolutionary coup d'etat in Cambodia, the summit conference of the three Indochinese people was entrusted with the historical task of strengthening the militant solidary between the people of Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos in order to step up the patriotic war against the common foes-the US imperialist aggressors and their henchman.
