Phnom Penh, April 26 (AP). Cambodia's Premier Long Boret narrowly escaped death tonight in an apparent assassination attempt during a wedding reception in the heat of Phnom Penh, military police on the scene said. An unknown assailant apparently hurled a hand grenade which killed at least nine persons and wounded 14, but the minister escaped injury, the accomplices, fled, police said. A military police cordon was thrown around the home, located on an unpaved street in a middle-class neightborhood. Ambulances were called to take away the wounded and there was screaming and wailing among the guests. The party was being held in the front courtyard of a banker's home.
