Summary / Abstract :
|
The Cambodian Government asked communist led insurgents today for an immediate cease-fire and has agreed to turn over power to them. The five-point proposal called for a complete transfer of power to the insurgent side under the supervision of the United Nations and International Red Cross representative who are now in Phnom Penh. The other major point, beside the cease-fire, was the demand for assurance that there would be no reprisals against persons or organizations for their activities during the five year-old war.
