Summary / Abstract :
|
South Vietnam troops using tanks and supported by air power pushed into Cambodia yesterday as they fought a running battle with communist forces in the road to Saigon. South Vietnamese military sources reported that their troops had crossed border 40 miles west of the capital and a fought at least two battles inside Cambodia. This was evidence of an intensification of the fighting in Indo-china generally. Insurgent forces in Cambodia also had fresh successes in their attempt to take control of the country.
