Summary / Abstract :
|
The situation along the Cambodian border is now cinsidered most serious and violent, because Cambodian soldiers have harassed us from Ban Hat Lek in Trat province to Aranyaprathet district of Prachin Buri province. The Khmer Rouge soldiers shoot at people working near the border, destroy small dams in our territory so that water will flow into Cambodia, plant Landmines along roads and repeatedly sent men to seize parts of our territory. The situation along this part of the border can be considered worse than in other areas. As for the border with Laos, clashes still occur in a while, for example, firing into Thai territory or at boats of the Mekong River operation unit.
