In less than a month two major provincial capital have been won by the Peoples National Leberation Armed Forces of Cambodia (PNLAFC). The Liberation forces have also defeated a major drive by Phnom Penh to retake Oudong and then routed large numbers of puppet troops at another provincial capital, Kampot, causing a number of U.S "advisers" of flee for their lives. These are only some of the highlight of the sustained offensive by liberation forces, which belief the premature clainsmade the Phnom Penh that PNLAFC was exhausted and incapable of taking any furter initiatives this year. Phnom Penh puppet leaders made these boasts after the siege of Phnom Penh earlier this year. In effect, Phnom Penh officials were claiming a victory by attributing aims to the liberation forces that they never had.
