Summary / Abstract :
|
"When the frog bites, pull hard," said the soldier to his friend, who swung the line around a few times, then tossed it out into the middle of the pond. As the bait landed, there was a movement in the reeds, and we could see the frogs edging forward. They only moved when the bait moved. Then one of them pounced. A sharp tug later it was dangling from the soldier's hand. He hung the victims on the barbed wire fence, threading them onto one long spike. The blood began to trickle from the corners of their mouths.
