Jakarta, Indonesia, December 5- Less that a year after agricultural experts predicted that Asian would soon face a rice glut caused by increased production, the weather has caused the opposite to happen: the continent is facing a serious rice shortage. In good years, three varieties provided yields double or triple the yields of regular rice strains. But they are also the most delicate, and in years of floods or drought, yields plummet.
